Jonny Loutphi, a visual artist born and raised in the city of Caracas, Venezuela, recognizes the influence of some of the greatest pioneers of optical art from his country, such as Carlos Cruz Diez and Jesús Soto. Likewise, he's inspired by the work of Victor Vasarely.
Loutphi's artworks focus on perception and the connection between the viewer and the final work, always emphasizing the sensation of movement and the illusion of images that pop out into the third dimension.
The creative process is based on the application of a series of self-developed techniques, in which several technological and computational tools are combined in an avant-garde and harmonious way.
